Director of Nursing
Los Alamitos Surgery Center
The Los Alamitos Surgery Center is a growing Multi-Specialty 3 O.R. Surgery Center, looking for a dynamic Director of Nursing to lead a motivated staff. The duties for the position include:
1. Maintains responsibility for quality patient care in accordance with written policies and in compliance with various regulatory and accrediting agencies.
2. Develops and monitors standards of care in cooperation with the Administrator and the Medical Director.
3. Determines clinical goals and effectively manages resources to achieve the goals in conjunction with the Administrator and the Medical Director.
4. Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies in conjunction with the Materials Manager.
5. Responsible for clinical personnel management, which includes recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and retention of clinical employees.
6. Oversees the clinical staffing process.
7. Maintains adherence or compliance to Center policies, procedures, and safety programs.
8. Responsible for documentation of the continuous quality improvement program.
9. Maintains an awareness and understanding of current regulatory legislation as it impacts the Center and institutes changes as warranted.
10. Responsible for other functions as assigned by the Administrator.
11. Functions as a Registered Nurse either in the pre-op, PACU, or the OR, as necessary.
Current RN License, BCLS, ACLS, and at least 3 years clinical leadership experience required.
