JOB DESCRIPTION:

OC ASC seeks a dynamic, patient-focused, self-starter to lead our clinical operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed RN with a minimum of three years of ambulatory surgery center experience. In this leadership role, the selected candidate will have a direct impact on the stability, success, and growth of the center. From managing operations and staff to ensuring sound clinical and fiscal performance, this position affords numerous opportunities to positively impact the lives of patients, surgeons, and employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior clinical abilities, possess mature and professional communication acumen, and have advanced administrative skills. The ability to work effortlessly with doctors, surgeons, agency surveyors, vendors, patients, and staff is essential. Strong personal accountability and proven project management/coordination talents are indispensable.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Salary Range: $45-$65/hour, depending on experience

Per Diem to start, then Exclusive Employment once approved for deemed status. Employee agrees to devote his/her full time and attention to the business affairs of the center.

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises daily clinical operations of the facility and manages the clinical and clerical staff in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation regulations and guidelines, as well as established policies and procedures. Oversees patient care activities in preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative. Purchasing of required supplies, controlled drugs, and equipment. Responsible for staff development, orientation and staff discipline, and appraisals.

Ability to direct the activities of the staff and manage the personnel.
  3. Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in ambulatory surgery environment, preferably operating room, including direct patient care. Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the facility. Knowledge of current nursing matters relating to healthcare management, including QAPI. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner.
  4. Machines, Equipment, Work Aides: Standard operating room supplies and equipment. Computer, printer, copier, telephone, and fax.
