As of October 1, the federal government has officially shut down following Congress's failure to reach an agreement on a short-term spending bill. California Ambulatory Surgery Association (CASA) is monitoring the impact on the ASC community and remains in close contact with congressional offices and federal agencies.
While ASCs are not directly named in federal shutdown planning, several key effects are expected to impact the surgery center community with Medicare payment delays, Administrative delays, and potentially a patient volume impact for centers that serve higher numbers of Medicaid patients. We will be sure to provide updates as the situation evolves.
Infection prevention remains a top priority for Ambulatory Surgery Center Surveys, and now more than ever, staying up-to-date is essential. CASA continues to lead the way with our annual Infection Prevention seminar, designed specifically for ASCs and providing training for our members.
This year, we are excited to have a fantastic lineup of industry experts who will share critical insights to help you stay compliant and well-prepared.
Our program covers everything you need to meet CMS’s ongoing mandatory infection prevention training requirements and the key components for the Certified ASC Infection Preventionist (CAIP) certification. It’s offered virtually across three sessions, so you can tailor your experience to suit your needs. You can attend the live session and then have the ability to go back and listen to the recorded session with your teams as a staff in-service on IP.
CASA offers significant discounts for attendees participating in more than one session.
Act fast and ensure your ASC is fully prepared!
