Better Conversations, Stronger Teams: Explore the HR Track at CASA’s 2026 Annual Conference

Not going to the Conference - No problem - Join us for an awesome - Informative hour with CASA's Administrator Mastery Series: August 26th

Leading an ASC team comes with plenty of challenging moments, from addressing performance concerns to keeping employees engaged and creating a workplace where people feel comfortable speaking up and are delivering their best. The HR Track at the CASA 2026 Annual Conference will offer practical guidance for handling those moments with greater confidence.

“Confident Conversations: Driving Performance with Clarity and Impact” will take on the real situations leaders face every day. How do you address an issue with a high performer? What happens when a difficult conversation has been delayed too long? How can you hold people accountable fairly and consistently? Attendees will leave with useful approaches they can put into practice right away.

The track will also explore how leaders can build a culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and open communication. Sessions will look at ways to empower nurses, break down silos, improve retention, and create an environment where every team member feels valued and responsible for patient safety.

And because AI is already finding its way into workplace tools and ASC operations, the HR Track will help administrators understand what that means for their organizations. Attorneys Gregory Blueford and Jason Geller will walk through the legal, privacy, and compliance issues surrounding AI, along with practical frameworks for evaluating tools, managing risk, and preparing for emerging state and federal requirements.

It is all part of a strong breakout program designed to help ASC leaders manage today’s challenges and prepare for what is ahead. Join us September 2-4 in Monterey.

Board Minutes Best Practices: Protecting Your ASC Through Effective Documentation

Speaker: Beverly Kirchner, RN, MSN
1 Hour CEU/AEU: Regulatory and Legal Issues

Board minutes are one of the most important — and most overlooked — tools in an ASC administrator's arsenal. Done well, they protect your facility, demonstrate strong governance, and keep you survey-ready year-round. Accreditation bodies and regulators expect your board minutes to tell a clear story of oversight and accountability - and there is a long list of required annual board approvals your ASC must document to stay compliant. This practical session gives administrators exactly what they need: a roadmap that equips administrators with the tools to document board meetings that demonstrate an informed, actively engaged board - one that takes its oversight role seriously and drives the compliance and quality your ASC depends on.
