ASC Regional Administrator

The Regional Administrator plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the activities for the clinical and business operations of multiple facilities, which may include assuming direct Administrator responsibility for a primary location.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the Regional Director of Ops of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Management Division. Functionally reports to the ASC Governing Board and Affiliate Regional Administration. Supervises the Director of Nursing and Business Services Managers directly for the primary location as well as the Administrators of assigned facilities. Also indirectly supervises the balance of the surgery center(s) staff.

Education

  • BA in Nursing, Administration and/or Management or an equivalent combination of education and directly-related work experience is required.
  • An advanced degree (MBA/MPA/MHA/MSN) preferred.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of state, regulatory, CMS, and accrediting requirements is required.

Experience

  • Experience working at an administrative or supervisory level capacity in a healthcare facility is required. 
  • A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years upper management experience in healthcare is required. 
  • Business development / marketing experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Previous experience as an ASC administrator is strongly preferred.
