Carlsbad Surgery Center Reaches Out To Uninsured In San Diego County

On Saturday February 21, 2015, Carlsbad Surgery Center opened their doors to provide free surgical services to the community. In conjunction with the San Diego County Medical Society, they hosted “Saturday Surgery Day”, providing pro-bono surgeries to San Diegans in need. Surgeries were provided to uninsured neighbors and included hernia repairs and removal of cysts and benign tumors for 8 San Diegans.

This is a tremendous service to the community, as 1 in 5 San Diego County residents remain uninsured and depend upon Saturday Surgery Day to regain their health and lives.
