Pain Management Physician

We are a Pain Management practice seeking a responsible and experienced CA licensed Pain Management Physician who specializes in anesthesia, physiatry or neurology to become a part of our upbeat, dynamic team!
Our practice focuses on interventional procedures (Epidural, Radiofrequency Ablation, Joint Injections, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Platelet Rich Plasma therapy to name a few.). We have a very successful practice providing care to personal injury, insurance and cash-pay patients. This is a full-time position and does require travel.

We are seeking a highly qualified (must be board certified or board eligible) interventional pain physician. You must be very knowledgeable and current on standards of care for interventional pain medicine.

  • Have and understanding of medical-legal aspects of treating personal injury patients
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks at one time
  • Perform numerous interventional pain procedures in an efficient but safe manner
  • Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration
  • Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high-performing medical team
  • Appropriately refer patients to other physicians when needed (neurosurgeon, orthopedists, neurologists etc.)
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
  • Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an interventional pain physician
  • Complete and thorough understanding of all current interventional pain medicine treatment modalities
  • Ability to safely and effectively perform interventional treatment procedures
  • Willing to travel to all locations in SoCal, NorCal and out of state (as needed)
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Respect for patient's confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, lawyers and other physicians
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Valid license to practice the profession for medical and DEA prescribing
  • ACLS/BLS required upon hire

  • Salary is commensurate with experience ($300-350k base)
