OR Nurse Manager
Greater Sacramento Surgery Center
Position Summary:
Experienced perioperative RN leader responsible for managing daily operating room operations within a surgery center setting, including staff oversight, surgical scheduling coordination, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and quality improvement. Leads multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflows, exceptional patient care, and a positive surgical experience in a high-volume outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the perioperative personnel to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care in the surgery center.
- Assists perioperative personnel in evaluating practice and creating strategies for further improvement.
- Verifies that educational resources are available for perioperative services personnel and holds personnel accountable for compliance with established standards.
- Make daily assignments for the operating room personnel.
- Monitors time and attendance of staff and ensures that all staff have appropriate breaks and lunches.
- Verifies departmental compliance with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Acts as a patient advocate and maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Will report to the Director of Nursing and Managing Partners at designated intervals all related operational information.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent discipline required.
- Registered California Nursing License required.
- 5 years direct nursing operating room experience preferred.
- 2 years leadership experience in an operating room or equivalent environment preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
