CASA Conference Early Registration Discount Ends Today, August 5, 2022
Hear more about the latest ASC regulatory and advocacy developments, at the CASA Annual Conference. ASCA CEO Bill Prentice, along with CASA Legislative Advocate Bryce Docherty, will be providing an update on the recent national and state legislative and regulatory activities. The CASA Awards for ASC Excellence will be announced during the annual CASA Business Meeting September 8, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. along with the important CASA Board Elections.

Save the Date: NHSN Call on August 9, 2022
The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and the Outpatient Quality Program Systems and Stakeholder Support Team invite you to attend an informative webinar on ASC-20 data entry. Experts from NHSN will discuss the steps to submit data for the ASC-20 measure (COVID-19 Vaccination Among Health Care Personnel) in the surveillance tool and respond to your questions. This call is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 2–3 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
CASA Benchmarking Closes August 15, 2022
Now is a perfect opportunity to assure your center is participating in the CASA Benchmarking program. The system is open for data entry for the 2nd quarter of 2022 and will close August 15, 2022. Patients, payors, accrediting agencies, and regulators want to see ASC outcome data, and the CASA benchmarking program helps your ASC compare your statistics. ASC-20 Quality Reporting Program Deadline August 15, 2022
The first submission deadline for ASC-20: COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Among Health Care Personnel is August 15, 2022, and covers the data collected in the first quarter of 2022, January 1 through March 31. For ASC-20, facilities must select one week per month on which to report to meet the quarterly submission requirement.
The Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality Reporting (ASCQR) Program provides a Web-Based Measure Status Listing that allows facilities to check their data submission status for web-based measures in the program. Enter your ASC’s NPI or CCN in the ASC Facility and CCN Lookup section to see your facility’s submission status. Please note that currently this page is only being updated monthly, so if you just submitted your data, it might not yet be displayed there.
CASA Board Nomination Letters Must Be Received By August 17, 2022
If you are interested, send your resume/curriculum vitae and cover letter to CASA Executive Director Beth LaBouyer, no later than Wednesday, August 17, 2022. These should be sent to info@casurgery.org. Your cover letter should include why you want to serve on the Board of Directors and any prior volunteer service to the association.
