National Nurses Week (May 6 - 12): CASA Thanks Our ASC Nurses
Celebrating the Heart of Our ASCs: National Nurses Week
Each year from May 6 - 12, healthcare organizations across the country recognize National Nurses Week - a time dedicated to honoring the extraordinary contributions of nurses and the critical role they play in patient care.
At CASA, this week carries special meaning. In ambulatory surgery centers across California, nurses are at the very center of everything we do - ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient who walks through our doors.
California is home to more than 560,000 registered nurses - the largest nursing workforce in the nation - serving as the backbone of care across every setting, including our ambulatory surgery centers. Within this vast and vital community, ASC nurses stand out for their versatility, precision, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
More Than a Profession - A Commitment to Care
Nursing is both an art and a science - focused on protecting health, promoting healing, and supporting patients and families through some of their most vulnerable moments.
In ASCs, this commitment is especially evident. Their ability to balance precision with empathy is what makes the ASC model so successful.
Recognizing Excellence Across California
Across our CASA membership, nurses are elevating the standard of outpatient surgical care every day. They are innovators improving workflows, mentors shaping the next generation of clinicians, and advocates ensuring patient safety remains the top priority.
With Gratitude
During National Nurses Week, we extend our deepest thanks to every nurse serving in California’s ambulatory surgery centers. Your dedication, expertise, and compassion are the foundation of our success and the reason patients trust ASCs for their care.
On behalf of CASA, we celebrate you this week - and every week.
