Deadline for 3rd Quarter Benchmarking Entry This Week
CMS ASC-20 Deadline November 15, 2024
The CASA Benchmarking program is growing and has more participation than ever. Now is a perfect opportunity to assure your center is taking part in this great CASA benefit. The system is open for data entry for the 3rd quarter of 2024. The deadline to submit your information is November 15, 2024.
The CASA Benchmarking is free to CASA members. The more members that participate, the stronger the data is. If you are new to using the program or need a refresher, CASA has developed a tutorial webinar. In addition, there are several tools to help you in gathering the data for each quarter. You can access the webinar and tools at CASA Benchmarking Resources.
Next ASC-20 Deadline Approaching on November 15, 2024
The next data submission deadline for ASC-20: COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Among Health Care Personnel is this Friday, November 15, and covers the data collected in the second quarter of 2024, April 1 through June 30.
This data is submitted by facilities through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) website for at least one self-selected week each month. The date the week ends determines which month that week is attributed to. For example, reporting data for the week of Monday, April 29, through Sunday, May 5, 2024, is considered as data for May because the week ends in that month.
While the CDC retired the Excel Data Tracking Worksheet this year, an optional Person-Level COVID-19 Vaccination Form is available in the Healthcare Personnel Safety (HPS) component of the NHSN application. The CDC created the Transferring Excel Tracking Worksheet Data to the Person-Level Form as a guide for how to transfer COVID-19 vaccination data from the Excel tracking worksheet to the Person-Level CSV file to upload into the Person-Level COVID-19 Vaccination Form.
The ASC Quality Reporting (ASCQR) Program provides a Web-Based Measure Status Listing that allows facilities to check their data submission status for web-based measures in the program. Enter your ASC’s NPI or CCN in the ASC Facility and CCN Lookup section to see your facility’s submission status. ASCs that fail to meet ASCQR Program requirements are subject to a 2 percent cut to their fee-for-service Medicare reimbursements.
If you have questions, contact the ASCQR Program Support Contractor at 866.800.8756 or through the Quality Question and Answer Tool.
